Hypno4Birth

Natural Childbirth using hypnosis.

Have you considered natural childbirth for you and your baby?

Our American culture expects birthing to be a painful ordeal. Many other cultures don’t seem to hold that as a truth. In these cultures, women birth their children as a normal, natural, wonderful, and pain-free part of their life. The goal of Hypno4Birth is to bring that attitude, a natural and pain-free birth, to your birthing experience.

Hypnosis can assist you with your natural birth.

Using Hypno4Birth, you have more control over your body and are able to relax those muscles not directly involved in bringing your baby into the world. This allows your body to work at peak efficiency without excessive fatigue, and without the conflict of muscles working against each other.

Another advantage of hypnosis is a natural capability to create anesthesia in just the areas of your body that need it - using only the power of your subconscious mind.

And, unlike what you may have seen in the movies about how hypnosis works, you will be alert and actively participating in the birth of your baby.

There are advantages to the baby, also. No drugs to affect the baby means that he/she will likely be more alert and responsive. And a relaxed, gentle birth usually results in a calmer, happier, less fretful baby.

Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that each of us experiences every day.

The reality of hypnosis is a calm, pleasant, and very powerful state of mind that makes the birth of your baby a relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Hypnosis is a focused state of mind we experience every day when we daydream, focus on work, or immerse ourselves in a movie. It is not the unconscious state portrayed in the movies. And the hypnotized person is not under anyone's control. In the hypnotic state you can tap into the power of your subconscious to help you learn to relax and control your body in preparation for your big day.

I know. I can hear you saying, “He doesn’t know what he is talking about; he is a man. And he hasn’t heard the stories I’ve heard about childbirth!”

Yes, I'm a man... and a father. And I've heard some of those stories. But I have heard more stories about the wonderful experiences women have had using hypnosis for their birth. And more and more mothers are looking for something that will be better than the painful birthing experience that brought their first child into the world.

Open yourself to new ideas, give yourself permission to experience childbirth...really experience childbirth...and enjoy it at the same time.

What kind of training is required to make this happen?

Yes, it requires training and practice to prepare your mind and body for the big day. It requires about four sessions to learn the techniques you will use during birthing. Then, those techniques must be practiced every day between sessions. Another part of each of the sessions is allowing your mind to let go of the negative childbirth stories you have heard all your life.

Ideally, we can start your training early in your seventh month of pregnancy. This gives you plenty of time to practice the techniques. However, if you are reading this and you are further along, we can make a difference in your experience even (almost) right up to the last day.

A bonus to all of this time spent in learning and practicing is that you will have these techniques to use for the rest of your life. (Releasing the day to day stresses of raising kids is very useful.)
